Katrina J. Hecht - Indianapolis Attorney
Katrina was twelve years old when she decided that she wanted to be an attorney, and it was one of the best decisions she's ever made. She was born and raised in Midland, Michigan and graduated from Central Michigan University in 1999, with honors. After looking at law schools in Michigan, Illinois and Ohio, Katrina chose Indiana University School of Law- Indianapolis for her legal studies. Her intention was to work in corporate law.
 
In her first week of law school, she joined Hensley Legal Group as a law clerk part-time to gain experience. There she was exposed to many different areas of law, areas she never anticipated. She realized how much she enjoyed working with consumers and helping them through the problems that affect their daily lives. She realized that moving on to practice corporate law would deprive her of the personal relationships she had created with clients and the rest of the team at Hensley Legal Group.
 
After graduation, and an enjoyable three years, Katrina made Indianapolis her residence and continues her work at Hensley Legal Group as head of the Bankruptcy Department. As a Bankruptcy and Injury attorney, people come to Katrina in some of the most trying times. She takes great pride in helping people move toward a fresh start.
Katrina is an active member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and is a speaker for the National Business Institute on various bankruptcy issues. She is also a Mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters for the past six years.
